Meeting a Need

Established by leaders of Bermuda's insurance industry in 1996, BFIS is tasked with ensuring that Bermudian students are provided with opportunities to attain the education and training necessary for careers in Bermuda's insurance industry.

This is being achieved through scholarships, mentoring, internships and career guidance.

BFIS Overseas Scholarships

Scholarships offered to students who plan to pursue a career in the insurance industry. Preferred subjects: Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, Math, Accounting, Corporate Law and Computer Science.
BFIS SIGNATURE SCHOLARSHIP
One scholarship offered each year worth up to $30,000 a year for up to 4 years. Open to all undergraduate academic years.

BFIS MSVU at Bermuda College Scholarships

Scholarships are offered to students studying for their Undergraduate Degree at Mount Saint Vincent University at Bermuda College while employed in the insurance sector.

One scholarship offered each year worth up to $10,000 a year for up to 2 years. Open to Junior or Senior years.

BFIS Bermuda College Scholarships

Scholarships are offered to students studying for their Associates Degree in
Arts (Business Administration), Business Administration, or Science (Actuarial)
BFIS Bermuda College SCHOLARSHIP
Two scholarships are offered each year worth $2,000 a year for up to 2 years. Open to Freshman or Sophomore years.
