Winning students lunch at Amlin

Ten students were rewarded for giving memorable interviews with an invitation to lunch with BFIS Trustee and Amlin CEO, Stuart MacKellar and some of his staff last Thursday at the new Amlin offices at 141 Front Street. This was their prize after the BFIS staff had interviewed all 96 students who participated in the annual Youth Harvesting Conference, held in September at XL House and organised by Sarah Fellows. Each student had 5 minutes to make an impression and was graded primarily on how they presented themselves, their interests, their focus, etc. rather than pure academics.

The Youth Harvesting Conference draws its particpants from all the high schools in Bermuda as well as some of the home schools and the top student of the conference is invited to join the other students representing Bermuda at the United Nations International School Conference in March.

Congratulations to Brittany Ferreira and Aoife Rynne – Bermuda High School for Girls; Chelsea Warren – Bermuda Institute; Jasmine Renfrow – Berkeley Institute; Chrisante Bean, Jaret Simmons and Kalea Steede – Cedarbridge Academy; Azaria Smith and Dillon Hollis – Warwick Academy; Zindzi Swan – Saltus Grammar School.
