Established by leaders of Bermuda's insurance industry in 1996, BFIS is tasked with ensuring that Bermudian students are provided with opportunities to attain the education and training necessary for careers in Bermuda's insurance industry.
This is being achieved through scholarships, mentoring, internships and career guidance.

An Appetite for Risk?
The IRM Bermuda Group will be hosting a thought provoking and educational session on the important topic of Risk Appetite on 29th November 2011, from 8am – 10am in the HSBC Harbourview Centre, 37 Front Street, Hamilton.
Risk Appetite is the cornerstone of any successful risk framework and the session aims to highlight the importance of establishing real risk appetite and tolerance statements or limits, the approaches to take in doing this and how to put it into practice.
