BFIS Alumn gains FCAS

Meeting a Need

Established by leaders of Bermuda's insurance industry in 1996, BFIS is tasked with ensuring that Bermudian students are provided with opportunities to attain the education and training necessary for careers in Bermuda's insurance industry.

This is being achieved through scholarships, mentoring, internships and career guidance.

BFIS Alumn gains FCAS

CONGRATULATIONS to James Botelho who has just passed his final actuarial exam and is now a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society. To quote James: “It feels great to be done after 9 years of studying for exams!”

James graduated from Mount Saint Agnes in 2000, and was awarded a BFIS Overseas Scholarship in 2002. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2004 with a degree in Actuarial Science. Since graduation he has supported BFIS as a BFIS Mentor and is currently Chairman of the BFIS Mentor Network Committee.
