Meeting a Need
Established by leaders of Bermuda's insurance industry in 1996, BFIS is tasked with ensuring that Bermudian students are provided with opportunities to attain the education and training necessary for careers in Bermuda's insurance industry.
This is being achieved through scholarships, mentoring, internships and career guidance.

Networking is important
On June 10, BFIS held the first of our summer Mentor Network gatherings at ACE Bermuda. (Our thanks to the ACE Foundation).
Over 50 attended – students and insurance professionals in about equal numbers. The CPCU Bermuda chapter gave a highlighted the benefits of gaining the CPCU designation and the students who had just completed the BFIS Intro-to-Insurance Summer Intern Programme shared some highlights of their past 3 weeks.
Next Mentor Network event will be the end of summer party planned for Thursday, August 11th from 5 – 7pm. Venue to be confirmed.
