New BII Seminars

Finance for the Insurance Professional (7th & 8th April, 2011). This two day workshop is a repeat performance of the very successful workshop that we have run over the last five years. This workshop has two overriding aims: to improve understanding of the financial dynamics of insurance and to enable learners to ‘read’ the accounts of any company using fourteen key financial ratios. Two distinct modules cover these aims, and both are prefaced by an ‘Introduction to Accounts’ module which ensures that learning is built on solid foundations. Throughout, there is an emphasis on the practical application of new-found knowledge, and exercises and group-work are used extensively to reinforce learning. This workshop is suitable for anyone, with little or no formal training in finance, who wishes to improve their understanding of the financial dynamics of Insurance. See website description for additional information and costs.
